Unusual little pub with a stern "No Phones" policy, which does give a nice low level buzz of chatter to the place. Back room with more seating and toilets upstairs, good range but all, of course, Sam Smith branding.

Excellent place for a relaxing drink staff brilliant great atmosphere, it was lovely to sit in a pub and been able to have conversations with out music blaring out. Lovely olde worldy place

Proper pub, really old, great drinks, cheap, staff are friendly. Greeted at the door and seated us with table service. Perfect place for a nice drink. No phones allowed out so you actually have to talk to people. I've lived in Chester for 10+ years and this has always been my favourite pub but I've not been in for a while. Definitely worth a visit if you're out in Chester.
