What a gem. If you can find it you'll have a wonderful experience. It's very intimate only 20 covers, I'd say. A pianist was playing and singing to help with the ambience. We had 4 cocktails, and each one was special, a work of art. We will be returning when we're next in Chester
Once we found it, we were trying to look through the door and it was opened just a crack we were welcomed by Mark and shown to a table. At first it's very dark until your eyes become accustomed. The atmosphere was great, 1920s speak easy vibe with great blues music mixed with jazz etc. Mark gave us a rundown of the cocktails and made recommendations.
Love this little speakeasy. It's quite difficult to find unless you know where to look (hint, go up the white steps and the door is at the end). The decor is unique trying to keep in with the American prohibition era. The drinks are lovely and our bartender Oliver was very considerate and hospitable.
